Beating us at our own Games

How do AIs play games at the level of the best human players and beyond? From Checkers and Chess to Go and Poker, the ability of game playing AIs have improved dramatically from a combination of clever algorithms and faster hardware. This talk will discuss current advances in AI, in particular, how it has led to super-human performance in several widely played games.
